We are now setting it up!
The SOCSKSARGEN Federation of Fishing and

slated on September 1-2, 2022, with a theme “Braving Rough Seas Toward a Better
Tomorrow” happening at the 3rd Floor, SM City General Santos,

Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Agriculture – Area Development
Project of SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippine National Police Region 12, and the Local
Tuna Industry Private Sector has deemed that it’s high time to come together
and organize the comeback of the National Tuna Congress.
This year’s theme is a hopeful and living
declaration of the fishing industry that despite of the difficulties the sector
have encountered for the past two years, the Tuna Industry will stand strong
and continue to brave these rough seas toward a better tomorrow.
A series of Executive Committee meetings were
held to efficiently plan the activities in this year’s congress.
“I am hopeful that the COVID-19 situation will
get better in the following months to push through our 22nd NTC after
2 years”, Executive Committee Chairman and the current SFFAII President Mr.
Dominic Salazar said.
The 2-day event will kickstart with the Opening
Caravan all the way from the heart of Tuna Industry, the General Santos Fish
Port Complex to SM City General Santos for the event proper.
The congress will be gathering different
industry players, government, non-government agencies, experts, and leaders to
discuss tuna industry specific relevant strategies and best practices, market
updates, pandemic coping mechanisms, solutions, and proven results.
Adjacent to the congress plenary, the 22nd
National Tuna Congress Trade Exhibit is opening a total of 101 booths for
the industry suppliers, partners, and other allied industries to showcase their
products and services to congress’ delegates and industry stakeholders.
Thus, let us come together, collaborate,
network, and meet everyone in the industry coming with the same vision,
interests, and goal.
