The Philippines is now under CODE RED SUBLEVEL TWO (2) as declared by President Rodrigo Duterte. This was released as a result of the confirmation of the Department of Health (DOH) of community transmission of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19. To date, the Philippines has 140 confirmed COVID-19 cases, eleven (11) deaths and two (2) recoveries.
On March 12, 2020, the President declared tougher measures to combat the spread of the COVID-19, declaring Metro Manila under “Community Quarantine” with work and class suspensions as well as travel restrictions.
Gensan Mayor Ronnel Rivera issued Executive Order No. 11 Series of 2020 and its Amendments to minimize possible transmission of COVID-19 and declared Preventive Restriction of Non-essential Travels.
In the light of recent declarations and reported community transmissions of COVID 19, SOCSKSARGEN Federation of Fishing and Allied Industries, Inc. enjoins all fishing industry stakeholders to implement preventive measures in order to slow down and stop the further spread of COVID-19.
