The Philippines is now under CODE RED SUBLEVEL TWO (2) as declared by President Rodrigo Duterte. This was released as a result of the confirmation of the Department of Health (DOH) of community transmission of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19. To date, the Philippines has 140 confirmed COVID-19 cases, eleven (11) deaths and two (2) recoveries.
On March 12, 2020, the President declared tougher measures to combat the spread of the COVID-19, declaring Metro Manila under “Community Quarantine” with work and class suspensions as well as travel restrictions.
Gensan Mayor Ronnel Rivera issued Executive Order No. 11 Series of 2020 and its Amendments to minimize possible transmission of COVID-19 and declared Preventive Restriction of Non-essential Travels.
